RedZone is proud to use multi-sensor inspection (MSI) technology to help the city of Fort Worth in their targeted approach to large, critical assets. The city’s innovative Interceptor Condition Assessment Program (ICAP) began in 2010. The program seeks to inspect all pipe, 24 inches and larger, within a seven year time period.
RedZone used MSI to gather data and create a condition scoring map. The data showed that pipe age and material are not always accurate indicators of condition. The result was a $26 million spending reduction and an enhanced understanding of the state of the Fort Worth sewer system.
