A history of serving customers with specialty applications.
Founded on the basis of better serving our customers and their needs, we’ve continued the tradition of innovating for the hard-to-reach and uninspectable applications. Learn more about how we use our autonomous tools to gather smart, actionable data with safer practices and more sustainable methods via specialty inspection services.
Force Mains
Gather risk assessment information, asset useful life evaluation, and data insights to estimate repair, rehab, and replacement costs.
Siphons
Eliminate clogs, leaks, and failure and sustain normal flow levels, by performing regular siphon inspections.
Industrial Applications
Refractories, chambers, storage tanks, tunnels and shafts – we can help you protect your assets with our specialized inspection options.
Why inspect with us?
Think your project is impossible? With decades of experience, our team of professionals can make the uninspectable a reality.
Safety First
Specialty inspections require preparation and deployment expertise to keep crews and communities safe. Our experienced crew members have worked on hundreds of job sites across the globe, but one thing never changes – safety first.
Smart Data
Our autonomous tools gather extensive inspection data using high-resolution cameras, laser, sonar, and CCTV to get you the clearest picture of your assets.
Sustainable Practices
We take our pledge to protect your community and the environment seriously. Leave behind a smaller carbon bootprint, decrease your carbon emissions, and use less fossil fuels during the inspection process with our eco-friendly methodologies.
Rangipo Hydropower Surge Chamber
It’s not just sewers that require inspection to protect system health. When Rangipo Hydroelectric Power Station in New Zealand needed to inspect one of their shafts, teams from RedZone Robotics and Pipe Insight were able to safely deploy our vertical inspection tools to get the job done.
Visual assessment without manned entry
Safety is always our top concern. With our autonomous tools, we’re able to visually inspect those environments where people can’t.
Going down, 833ft (254m)
Our teams were able to deploy Vertue the full length of the shaft, 833 feet.
Large diameter access? No problem.
With project specific technical modifications by our experience engineering team, Vertue was able to span the 164 foot (50 meter) opening of the shaft and provide stable video of the full depth.
ExxonMobil Refractory Lines
When ExxonMobil needed to inspect hundreds of feet of vertical shafts (refractory lines), our teams hit the ground running and designed a pneumatically actuated inspection tool, in just 3 months, that became known as Mantis. Mantis has since hung up it’s wheels, but is part of a long history of purpose-built robotics at RedZone.
360-degree high resolution cameras
Mantis featured 360-degree, high resolution cameras that provided crystal clear imagery.
From 8 hours to 30 minutes
Typically, inspection would require scaffolding and manned entry, taking in excess of 8 hours. Mantis trimmed this time significantly – to approximately 30 minutes per asset.
Spinning LiDAR
Spinning LiDAR and structured laser provided accurate measurements of the interior of the shaft.
Browser controlled
Controlled by non-proprietary software, Mantis could be controlled via web browser from outside the shaft.
