What is Vertue?
Vertue is a manhole and chamber, multi-sensor inspection technology. With Vertue, utility operators are able to visually assess the condition of a structure vertically, in high-definition, without the loss of quality.
Vertue can see the true condition of manholes & chambers, and provide accurate MACP coding.
The Importance of Manhole Condition Assessment
Manholes play an important part in the overall utility network, providing access to buried linear infrastructure. Access to pipeline infrastructure is critical to ensure proper operation, maintenance, inspection, evaluation, rehabilitation, and testing.
Components within a manhole structure are under continuous stress from both physical and environmental wear and tear. It is important for manholes and chambers to be routinely inspected in order to prevent collection system inflow & infiltration (I&I), as well as potential structural failure, which could lead to collapse.
Going Down, 1000 Linear Feet.
With Vertue, we’re going the distance. Stress tests performed in the field demonstrated Vertue’s ability to inspect as far as 1000 Linear Feet (LF), with crisp, clear, results. For most manhole inspections, Vertue is equipped to descend 100 LF.
Vertue provides a view of the true condition of inspected infrastructure and delivers accurate and detailed data for MACP coding.
With Vertue, crews are able to capture clear and concise imagery that can be used to create complete 3D models and point clouds of a manhole or chamber’s structure. This provides a valuable data set that can be used in asset management.
